Kodiak Mark 4
-Mark IV - this heater is the last of
the kodiaks, rarer than the mark III, it has an integral
core/distribution box and a seperate blower. These are
the most modern of the kodiaks.
It uses several american components including the core and
blower motor.
It is characterized by 2 vertically hinged doors on the front
of the distribution box. These were normally fitted
to 1966 and 1967 vehicles, although you often see them retrofitted to
earlier trucks. This truck has late SIIA windscreen
vents which are wrong for this heater. Note the control knobs
next to the sterring wheel.
This one is fitted to a 1959 SII . . .definately not original
to the truck, but a nice upgrade!
Here is the distribution box/core for the mark four.
here is the reverse side of the distribution box/core. The angled portion fits up against the top of the footwell.
