This rare early Fj45 land cruiser short bed removeable cab pickup came to us for some gooies. A very cool, very unusual vintage utility truck. Not a rover, but still very cool! It will be getting custom sliders, custom bumpers front and rear along with a shorty roof rack.

Land Cruisers have running boards. The ones on this example were hammered. We remade them from steel plate and intergrated them into a slider for a stock/modified look.

Here you can see how the slider/step will be able to protect the bottom of the fender as well as the body side from trail damage.

Here are the sliders off of the truck prior to dipping

The owner wanted a tough coating. Having owned several series rovers, he chose galvanizing

The stock front bumper was beat, so we made a reproduction which matches the original profile from plate steel. We added some recovery points and a mount for this vintage ramsey PTO winch.

The rear bumper was a massive rusty bent heap which was probably installed by a dealer when it was sold new. It needed to go and this wrap around unit was fabricated to replace it. It features, a reciever, tow points, corner protectors, trailer plug and even a slot for the original spare tire crank.

The bumper matches the body nicely and provides protection and fuction.

The owner wanted a little rack so that he could haul "that much more" gear when taking the rig camping. This low profile rack is perfect for occaisional use and will last forever due to its hot dipped finish.

Heres the truck ready to head back to its owner.
