This trip began in the Denver Airport. I was flying back home from a visit with family in Indiana. I spoke with a friend during my layover in Denver who had a 57 Land Rover pickup he was planning to sell. A harebrained scheme was formed; I could rent a car in Denver, drive to WY, pick up the rover, and drive it home. "Is it ready to do 1000+ miles?" I asked. "I think so" he responded. I bought a case of boylan's ginger ale and a camera and headed to the Avis counter. . .
