‘Round Robin’ in Idaho

Here are some pics from our recent out and back road trip to Idaho. The objective of the trip was to deliver one truck and pick up another to drive back home. Buying a truck sight unseen is always a bit of a gamble, but relying on it to get you home can be even more of an ‘adventure.‘

In Boise we met up with Brian and Orin who flew in from Nebraska to pick up the military 109. We then picked up the 1963 pastel green 109, grabbed a bite for dinner, swapped tools/spares into the other truck, and parted ways. Brian and Orin had a long (but speedy!) drive back to Nebraska, and we were headed back to Oregon with fingers crossed that we would make it without incident.

We had a couple of minor mechanical woes including a rear differential failure, which led to a bit of roadside wrenching to remove the rear drive shaft.
